MANIAGO: IERI OLANDA SUGLI SCUDI, ALTRO ORO PER L’ITALIA – OGGI LE ULTIME GARE IRIDATE

Maniago, 5 Agosto 2018 – Ultime tredici prove in linea all’U.C.I. Para-Cycling Road World Championships 2018 di Maniago (PN). Nella giornata odierna si assegneranno tredici titoli iridati. In mattinata (ore 9:00-13:25) gareggeranno le categorie MC4-5 (81,6 Km), MC3 (68 Km), MC2 (68 Km), MC1 (68 Km), WC4-5 (68 Km), WC1-3 (54,4 km), mentre nel pomeriggio (ore 15:00-19:00) sarà la volta delle categorie MB (108,8 Km), gara più lunga di questi mondiali, WB (81,6 Km). Grande attesa per la staffetta a squadre finale, la “team relay” alle 18:30 che vede in programma 9 giri da 2km ciascuno e dove l’Italia ripone grandi speranze di medaglie. Tutte le gare iridate si disputeranno sulle strade di un circuito cittadino davvero spettacolare sia dal punto di vista tecnico/altimetrico che da quello paesaggistico. Dopo la partenza dalla centralissima Piazza Italia a Maniago si andrà verso ovest fino a Montereale Valcellina costeggiando il suggestivo fiume Cellina. Dopo aver attraversato il paese si rientrerà verso Maniago oltrepassando il corso d’acqua e passando dalla parte bassa della città prima di rientrare in Piazza Italia, dove è posizionato anche il traguardo. Il tracciato, ricco di saliscendi, misura 13,650 chilometri, che sarà ridotto a 2km esclusivamente per la staffetta così come specificato sopra.

Last thirteen World road titles will be awarded today at U.C.I. Para-Cycling Road World Championships 2018 in Maniago (PN). During the morning  (from 9:00am to 1:25pm) will ride MC4-5 (81,6 Km), MC3 (68 Km), MC2 (68 Km), MC1 (68 Km), WC4-5 (68 Km), WC1-3 (54,4 km), and in the afternoon (from 3:00pm to 7:00pm) will be the turn of MB (108,8 Km), longest ride of this World Road Championships, and WB (81,6 Km). At 6:30pm don’t miss the final ride, the team relay made by 9 laps of 2km each and where Italy will try to defend the gold medal of the last years. World challenges will take place into a city ride track, really interesting both for technical and altimetry and for the scenary. After the start from the central “Piazza Italia” in Maniago, riders will going to west to Montereale Valcellina, along the evocative Cellina river. Once passed through Montereale, the athletes will come back to Maniago crossing the river and going to the downcity, just before the finish line located as the start at “Piazza Italia”.
