SI CHIUDE UN WEEKEND DI SPETTACOLO: CORRIDONIA INCORONA GRANDI CAMPIONI E CAMPIONESSE,

SI CHIUDE UN WEEKEND DI SPORT E SPETTACOLO A CORRIDONIA

E’ giunta al termine la tappa italiana della Coppa del Mondo di Paraciclismo, che saluta il numerosissimo pubblico di Corridonia con un grande show finale nelle gare della domenica pomeriggio.

Le categorie MB e WB hanno animato il paese con la loro gara in linea: in campo maschile è doppietta olandese grazie al duo medaglia d’oro composto da Tristan Bangma e Patrick Bos, con i connazionali Vincent Ter Schure e Timo Fransen che sono andati a prendere l’argento. Il bronzo è italiano grazie a Ivano Pizzi e Riccardo Panizza. Tra le donne è invece la Polonia a compiere il “double”: oro per la coppia Iwona Podkoscielna – Aleksandra Teclaw, argento a Justina Kiryla e Barbara Borowiecka. Medaglia di bronzo al Brasile rappresentato da Marcia Ribeiro Gonçalves Fanhani e Cristiane Pereira Da Silva. Infine lo show conclusivo della staffetta a squadre di Handbike, dove USA 1 (Ryan Pinney – Alicia Dana – Alfredo De Los Santos) e USA 2 (Brandon Lyons – William Groulx – David Berling) hanno fatto doppietta davanti all’Italia di Alex Zanardi, Vittorio Podestà e Francesca Porcellato. A premiare i Campioni era presente il Presidente della F.C.I e Vicepresidente UCI Renato Di Rocco.

Il medagliere è vinto dall’Olanda, che porta a casa 10 ori, 4 argenti e un bronzo, seguita dall’Italia con 7 ori, 8 argenti e 9 bronzi (Nazione con più medaglie in assoluto, ben 24).

Corridonia (MC), 12 Maggio 2019 – Mattinata importante nelle prove in linea che si sono svolte sul tracciato di Corridonia, rivolte alle categorie MC1, MC2, MC3, MC4, MC5, WC2, WC3, WC4 e WC5.

In campo maschile trionfano rispettivamente Ricardo Ten Argiles (Spagna), Tristen Chernove (Canada), Steffen Warias (Germania), Sergei Pudov (Russia) e Daniel Abraham Gebru (Paesi Bassi). Nelle prove femminili la vittoria è andata a Yvonne Marzinke (Austria), Paige Greco (Australia), Shawn Morelli (USA) e Shelley Gautier (Canada).

Sono in corso questo pomeriggio le gare di categoria MB e WB prima di chiudere la rassegna con la staffetta a squadre di Handbike.

A SPECTACULAR WEEKEND OF SPORT AND SHOW IS OVER IN CORRIDONIA

The Italian Stage of the 2019 Paracycling Road World Cup has come to its end, and it says goodbye to the huge audience in Corridonia with a final great show on the roads during Sunday afternoon.

The categories MB and WB animated the town with their road race: The Netherlands make the double in the men’s race, thanks to the duos composed by Tristan Bengma and Patrick Bos (Gold) and Vincent Ter Schure with Timo Fransen (Silver). Italy won the bronze with Ivano Pizzi and Riccardo Panizza. Poland does the same in the women’s race as their Dutch colleagues. Iwona Podkoscielna and Aleksandra Teclaw are the winners and their compatriots Justyna Kiryla and Barbara Borowiecka are second. The bronze goes to Brazil, represnted by Marcia Ribeiro Gonçalves Fanhani and Cristiane Pereira Da Silva.
Finally, the last show with the Handbike Team Relay, where USA 1 (Ryan Pinney – Alicia Dana – Alfredo De Los Santos) and USA 2 (Brandon Lyons – William Groulx – David Berling) took gold and silver beating the National Italian Team composed by Alex Zanardi, Vittorio Podestà and Francesca Porcellato. The President of the Italian Cycling Federation and Vicepresident of the UCI Renato Di Rocco awarded the Champions on the podium.

The Netherlands won the Nation Medal Ranking with 10 golds, 4 silvers and 1 bronze, followed by Italy with 7 golds, 8 silvers and 9 bronzes (with 24 medals it’s the most winning Nation).

CORRIDONIA CROWNS BIG CHAMPIONS

It was an important morning on the circuit of Corridonia, with the races reserved to the categories MC1, MC2, MC3, MC4, MC5, WC2, WC3, WC4 e WC5.

The male winners have been respectively Ricardo Ten Argiles (Spain), Tristen Chernove (Canada), Steffen Warias (Germany), Sergei Pudov (Russia) and Daniel Abraham Gebru (Netherlands). The winners in the female categories have been Yvonne Marzinke (Austria), Paige Greco (Australia), Shawn Morelli (USA and Shelley Gautier (Canada).

The MB and WB are now on the road, before the Handbike Team Relay which ends the event in Corridonia.
